Come Dancing Socks Finished

Another Christmas gift ready to wrap

I LOVED knitting these socks.  The Panda Silk yarn is sooo soft  and shows the pattern off very nicely. The pattern is also quite well written and the 16 row repeat keeps it interesting. I think I will knit this again in a solid color from the Panda . . . → Read More: Come Dancing Socks Finished Read more »

Summery Spring-y Socks

Late to post — I haven’t been here for a while!  But I have been knitting lace….

Here is my only lace FO, though; my two other lace projects are big ones, though one should be done within a week or so and the other within the month (I hope).

Finished Projects

I’ve been really bad about posting this summer, but I have managed to finish some lace socks.  My hope was to be able to get at least one shawl completed, but that fell by the wayside fairly early on.

These are the Swan Song socks by Wendy Johnson, finished in July.

Then there were the Crosshatch Lace Socks . . . → Read More: Finished Projects Read more »

For the final time..

These are going to be my last finished project for this summer, the next socks are already on the needles, but in recognition of the weather getting colder they’re not lacy!
The pattern was Kaibashira Lace socks, knitted in Bonny (75% super wash wool and 25% nylon) from The Yarn Yard, this colourway was for May’s sock . . . → Read More: For the final time.. Read more »

1 down, 1 to go.

I cast off the first of my Kaibashira lace socks last night, and immediately cast on the second. I really love this pattern it knits up so very quickly and I can do it n pattern repeat chunks and then make myself go and do the things that you need to do!

I’ve already done the pretty . . . → Read More: 1 down, 1 to go. Read more »

Kaibashira lace socks

Remember these? I finally ordered the replacement needles so have picked these back up again. I took them to school with me yesterday as I knew I’d have a quiet day while there are no A-level student in. Looks like it was a good call, I’ve already turned the heel and done the gusset.
