And you thought we were done….’

But I still have more yarn to give away!

Our very own Darla donated this prize, and we’re awarding it now as the Second Round Raffle Prize for Medium Lace.  The lucky winner is …. hilltopkatie!  And she’ll also be receiving a Shawls Booklet from JoyKnits.

in addition, I have this yummy Yarn and pattern combo from Stitch Jones

This is harder still, since I can touch it and everything.  Even so, I’ll be sending it off to the winner of our  Socks Category Round Two Raffle, along with a pattern for Angel Wings socks from JoyKnits The winner is….. vicki!

And finally … for round two anyway… There is this lovely hand dyed merino from our own Vicki (vicki953)

I’ve got to tell you, sending this away — like to kill me!  But even so, it’s been awarded as the second round prize in the Beaded Lace category, so I’ll  be sending it along to bagoyarn, who will enjoy choosing patterns from

KnitSpot as well, since she wins the last of the $10.00 gift certificates.

I received my prize package from Woolgirl today :)  Jen generously let me pick out a pattern and a skien of yarn from her shop and this is what I chose:

Of course, I picked a sock pattern and then some wonderful merino/tencel blend yarn. Now I have to finish up my gift knitting so I can cast on my new pattern.  Thanks Jen at Woolgirl!

I am really glad I had the time to get these finished. I didn’t want any unfinished lace sitting around. I’m ready to start holiday knitting! These are Eyelet rib socks in Shepherd Sock, color Mother Lode 284 yds. I’ll be back tomorrow for my final wrap-up.

Another pair of socks  into the finished category :)  Once I had time to work on thses they knit up fairly quickly. I really like the way the pattern forms a zig zag around the leg.

LLR’s Los Monos Locos Socks

I started these 7/15/08.  I’m realizing too late that I didn’t ever post a “Cast On” post for these projects.  But anyway, at least I’m getting them posted for “Finished Objects.”  And they just barely make it into the “Small lace knitting by size” category!

I actually LOVED working this pattern.  I even had to revise it just a bit to allow for more stitches around the leg, and 5 pattern repeats around the leg instead of only 4.  I may knit this pattern again some time when I can make a longer cuff.  Here’s my Ravelry link for more details.

What I have to show for my summer of lace

No Gravatar

Here’s my last update post, with yardage, which obviously does not really matter as far as the competition goes, but I’m feeling pretty happy with how much I’ve accomplished. I am homeschooling the older two of my four young children and working on top of that, so the idea that any knitting at all got done is a great source of pleasure, and that I finished two gifts and a project for myself is really terrific. Here’s what I did:

Goddess Knits Anniversary Shawl, 1410 yards

Coveted Lace Skirt, my design: 900 yards

Goddess Knits Mystery Shawl #9  1050 yards

Bad Cat Designs Summer Sampler Study: 1400 yards

and a pathetic photo of four works in progress that have about 500 yards in them:

Storyteller Socks, Veil of Isis, Anniversary Shawl, and Mystery Stole 4:

So, I count 5,260 yards total.

I want to thank everyone for sharing their projects. I have gotten so many great ideas from so many of you. I have about a hundred pages to finish working on tonight, but I’m hoping to get a chance tomorrow to review more projects so as to nominate my favorites for special prizes–there are so many great projects! Hope to see you all again in the winter!

And thanks so much to the moderators and sponsors for making this happen!
