The one request my Mother and Grandmother have for Christmas was dishcloths and dish towels soooo here is lacy zig zag #2.

Lacy Ribbon Scarf (from the Spring 2008 Knitty), take two:

This time in a much lighter sock yarn–Green Mt Spinnery’s Sock-Art Forest in a sort of raspberry color. Much better drape the thicker yarn I used last time. I’m about 2/3 of the way done–this is a good travel project
My test knit is on hold as the pattern needs some altering and I decided to cast on a new project to keep my hands busy. I chose the Swallowtail shawl and decided to use the leftovers from Julias previous test knit. Here´s the beginning

And today…. I´ve run out of yarn and the shawl look like this:

Budding lace completed, lily of the valley completed, lacy edge completed, only the last scalloped edging to go (14 rows) and no yarn. Sigh. The good thing is that there´s more of this coming thanks to a generous prize doner here on SOL2008. The bad part is that it´s coming from the States so it´ll propably take up to 8 weeks until I get it. So this won´t be finished in time. sigh again. Well, at least I tried. Maybe I should start yet another project?
I couldn’t resist this one, though I did try. Here is the Mystery Stole 4, from Pink Lemon Twist. I’m working on the second part now, and hope to be done both in time for clue 2. The yarn is Malabrigo laceweight in Sunset, which I absolutely adore. In fact, as I’m knitting I keep thinking of calling the yarn store and asking them to order a bag for me. I have a design in mind, and I know I couldn’t get tired of this color. I am halfway through the edging of the BadCatDesigns sampler, so when that’s done I’ll be able to get on with my other projects, but really, this is so much fun, it has to take precedence!

Here is my beginning of Mystery Stole 4. This is another heavily beaded stole, so fun all around. I’m using Knit Picks’ Shadow in Juniper. You can’t see it yet, but there are lots of tiny, beautiful green beads on there also.
I’m on a roll ! After finishing the dishcloth, I cast on this pair of socks today.

The pattern is Monkey by Cookie A and the yarn is from the new Calypso line by Creatively Dyed yarns.

I´ve casted on for my next project, although I don´t think this will be finished in time as it is quite big, over 1000 yards. It´s another test knit for Julia and the pattern seems nice although there are lots and lots of nupps. If anyone has a good trick to manage nupps with 7 loops I´m eager to hear them! The yarn is 2/28 nm, 100% cashmere from Colourmart
Today I decided to get started on my Christmas knitting so I cast on this lacy zig zag dishcloth. It seems funny to be knitting with such large needles after the tiny sock needles!

I finished my scarf from the fur of my lovely dog blue
And I’ve cast on for a Gust scarf (Anne Hanson) in Knitpicks Aegean colorway.

I’ve also started a Totally autumn throw, but likely won’t finish it for seasons of lace, it’s a christmas gift.
But I knit a lot while evacuated, when I could see well enough!
Started going through & entering my stash in Ravelry (don’t even ask…it’s scary, really scary…I think they’ll have to bury me with yarn & needles…) and I couldn’t resist starting this to see what the SWS would do with it.
I’ve also knit up another quickie on Size 13s with a very simple lace pattern, an oddly shaped item that when finished, turns into a shrug! Haven’t photo-ed that yet though. I so love the feel of Moda-Dea Dream (a friend who commented on it this past weekend called it “sensuous” and I have to agree!), I can almost forget the fact that it’s acrylic & nylon!
Here’s the budding vest:

Knit ON!

P.S. I MUST MUST MUST finish my vest.
