Inspiration

Well, I wish there was some sort of award for casting on because I think I’d have a shot at that.  I definitely have more lace than I can handle on the needles.  But I’ve really enjoyed seeing all the beautiful posts here and it has definitely encouraged me to indulge and enjoy knitting (well starting) . . . → Read More: Inspiration Read more »

Planning Ahead…

I’m not quite sure when I’m going to get all the knitting I have planned done.  Actually, I’m feeling a bit defeated after doing some stash organization this morning and realizing that my ambition has no basis in reality.  However, I’m so excited about my most recent acquisition…

Progress

I started this wrap at the beginning of the month but was interrupted by some socks and Olympic knitting.  I’ve just picked it back up and now that I have the pattern down a bit better, it’s knitting up quite quickly and I’m really enjoying it.  The Dream in Color Baby has such a beautiful balance of color . . . → Read More: Progress Read more »

Lace Ribbon Scarf

It just occurred to me that my latest finished knit qualifies for posting here since it was only 28″ when the Seasons Of Lace started and is 82″ now.   That works right?

Casting On… Again

So I’m noticing that some of you are actually producing gorgeous finished knits as opposed to simply casting on a ridiculous number of lovely lacy items to add to your WIP bin.  Hmmmm.

Well, since I’m operating with a self-control deficiency, I’m fessing up with 2 more cast-ons.  First the Hedera Socks I started today.

It’s a fun, addictive pattern… and I have . . . → Read More: Casting On… Again Read more »

Rivolo

I have only recently discovered KnitSpot and I am in love with Anne’s designs.  This is the start of Rivolo using some Handmaiden Casbah in the “Smoke” colorway.  The yarn and pattern seem to be a perfect match so far, with the lace highlighting the subtle color changes of the yarn.  Handmaiden yarns would be my . . . → Read More: Rivolo Read more »

Flower Basket Shawl Idea

I saw the most interesting Flower Basket Shawl today while exploring some downtown yarn shops.  It was knit with a combination of Trekking and Filatura di Crosa Superior (a lace weight cashmere/silk blend that has the appearance of mohair) making it a thick(er) snuggly garment.  It was so soft!  I would’ve never guessed that some basic . . . → Read More: Flower Basket Shawl Idea Read more »
