And the Prize Processing Goes forward…

Greetings one and all.

I’m sitting here with my spreadsheets and all the entry forms, making sure that I have all of the entries in, and that my data is accurate.  For clarification, and so that I really do award the prizes to the competition winners, I’d like to verify the following things:

Farewell to Summer … hello Autumn… What’s next.

Th-th-th-that’s all folks!

I hope you all had a lovely Autumnal Equinox, and that you will enjoy the new season.

We’re taking a breather (sort of), and will be setting up for the Winter of Lace to start in December.

In the interim, we will be gathering all our data for the raffles and the contests and the competitions.  . . . → Read More: Farewell to Summer … hello Autumn… What’s next. Read more »

A Hat …

So, this Season of Lace is drawing to a close. We’ve got two more days to finish things up so that they can earn more raffle tickets.  I’m pretty sure that unless I abandon all other activities between now and midnight on Tuesday, this will be the last thing I finishing for THIS Season of Lace.  . . . → Read More: A Hat … Read more »

Just One More….

I’m going to squeeze in one last wee little project.

I had this lone ball of Hayfield Kimono lying about the house with nowhere to go.

It’s perfect for a little something for a dear friend of mine who is suffering from cancer.  I’m pleased at finding the perfect project for this yarn.  I’m pleased . . . → Read More: Just One More…. Read more »

Random Joy … One Last Time….

It’s me again.

Time for one last round of Random Joy before the end of the Season.

This time, we thought we’d get extravagant and award FOUR prizes.  I thought I’d take you through the process so you can see exactly what we do when we award prizes (since we’ll be doing the same thing for the Raffles . . . → Read More: Random Joy … One Last Time…. Read more »

The Glamour Shots

Okay, they’d be much more glamorous if I’d found a more glamourous looking model, or done something elegant with my hair or….  but whatever, here is Daedelus … free from the blocking board.

I think it looks rather nice simply draping the way it does when you’re not doing bird imitations…

Daedelus takes Flight

Do you know what this is?

This is the last bead.  When this bead goes on, Daedelus will have all of its beads.  All of them.

And here is that bead in place….

Yes…. tonight, I finished knitting Daedelus..

Before the bath, she stretched out on the living room floor…

Then she nested in to his/har bath… (I’m still conflicted.  I . . . → Read More: Daedelus takes Flight Read more »

Stop…. and face the finish line

I finished the first of the Lacy Mitts for I’m designing for my daughter.

I also have the pattern all written out for the left mitt, and have worked out just what needs to be done to reverse it for the right mitt.  (I’ve also made great progress in a non-lace design and some simple socks . . . → Read More: Stop…. and face the finish line Read more »

Random Joy Strikes Again!

I’ve reached all the previous winners, and connected them to their prize donors.

The kids are in school!

I’ve finished the first of a pair of lace mitts I’m designing for my daughter. (I’ve also made some non-lace progress, but we won’t talk about that here).

A Scarf on Vacation

As the Seasons of Lace Began, I was knitting Boing!  A Little Nothing designed by Anne Hanson.

Boing was never my primary project.  But she seemed to go along with me everywhere.

She went shopping with me as we bought summer clothes for the girls,

She drove across the country, taking in the sights of Western New . . . → Read More: A Scarf on Vacation Read more »
