One More!

One more finished project to sneak in!  It’s Langsgalid Barur.

This was a fun and easy project, knit with Silk Garden Sock Yarn.  I may be ready to knit something other than . . . → Read More: One More! Read more »

Firmament at Midnight

Here I go again.  I started another project!  It’s the Firmaments Lace Shawl, a pattern available on WEBS.  I’m using Schaeffer Anne in Midnight.  I knit a bunch, frogged a bunch, and now I’m back on track.  I didn’t realize that I had to knit a row between each lace row in the first pattern.  Duh!

Olympic Gold

Who knew that someone so out of shape could win a gold medal.  In 16 days (I even finished a day ahead) I knit the Flirty Ruffles Shawl .  It’s the first time I’ve ever knit with 100% cashmere.  I’m hooked!

I literally bound off, stood up and had Honey take a picture.  There were needles lying . . . → Read More: Olympic Gold Read more »

Hydrangea

Finally!!!  A finished project.  I test knit Hydrangea for Susan Pandorf.  You can purchase the pattern on her blog

I love this thing.  It has a ton of beads on it, and took a bit of time, but it was well worth it.  For more details, check out my blog post.

I’ll post my Ravelympics project soon.  Or . . . → Read More: Hydrangea Read more »

Lace and the Olympics

Yes, I’m an idiot. I signed up for the Ravelympics. I am knitting lace though, so it counts for Seasons of Lace. I’ve wanted to knit the Flirty Ruffles Shawl for a long time, so this may motivate me to start and finish it! Here is an extremely boring picture. I Love Sock Yarn!

I started another lace project.  What an addiction!  I got some Noro Silk Garden Sock yarn in the mail, and it was talking to me.  I wanted a big rectangular shawl that I could wear with black and with denim.  This is what I came up with.

The pattern is from Sigridur Halldorsdottir’s book, written in Icelandic.  . . . → Read More: I Love Sock Yarn! Read more »

I’m The Lame Lace Maven

I’ve been a really poor example of sharing the lace I’ve been knitting. I’m way behind. So here is a photo of a the first finished project.

This is Hyrna Herborgar. It is so much easier than it looks. I finished it in just six days. More details on my blog.

Test Knit

I’m test knitting a gorgeous lace project right now. It’s called Hydrangea.  I love the pattern, the colors, and all the beads.

The yarn is Great Adirondack Soxie.  And, strangely enough, the colorway is Hydrangea.  The pattern will be available later this month through Susan’s blog.

I have more lace to post, but I’m too busy knitting to . . . → Read More: Test Knit Read more »
