My Prize Arrived!

My Newbie Lace Knitter prize arrived this week!  It’s the DVD “Knitting Lace with Meg Swansen”.  I haven’t had time to watch it yet, but I did look at the charts.  I really like the neck-scarf version of a Faroese shawl, and I think that will probably be my first project from the DVD.

I was off to a good start…

I’m Off to a Good Start

I started the Montego Bay Scarf this morning.  I only had to start it twice, which is pretty good for me.  I’m a loose knitter, so I went down 2 needle sizes, but it wasn’t enough.  I’m using size 4 needles now, and I’m pleased with the fabric I’m creating.
