- I'm the mother of five and the grandmother of 6. I've been knitting for about 37 years, and have been quilting almost that long. I just recently got hooked on lace knitting. I made a shawl for my mother, am halfway through a scarf for my daughter, and am working on the Woodland shawl for myself.
