No Purl Lace
My lace progress was suddenly impeded by the development of a wonky thumb. But I had travel time with lots of time to knit coming up! So I cast about (HAR!) for No Purl Lace projects. And remembered a lovely pattern by Sivia Harding which I had bought this spring; and the special yarn I had bought on a trip to Chicago early this summer.
In only a few days, here’s the result: the Victorian Shoulderette Shawl, in Artyarns Silk Rhapsody Glitter:

Since I didn’t realize the deadline was extended, the photograph above is without blocking, so it’ll be a bit longer when blocked, but being garter stitch, it does not require blocking to see the pattern in any case.
ETA:
Here it is after blocking!

It is meant to be a small shoulder shawl, and used about 220 yards of the 250 yard skein.
The yarn is gorgeous, silk/mohair with a strand of glitter, though not easy to knit, being both slippery and also two strands that are not plied together, so one has to keep an eye on it. Addi Lace needles worked well for me.

The colors remind me of pearls:Â cream, pale grey, pale pink.
But no purls!!
