Okay, they’d be much more glamorous if I’d found a more glamourous looking model, or done something elegant with my hair or…. but whatever, here is Daedelus … free from the blocking board.
I think it looks rather nice simply draping the way it does when you’re not doing bird imitations…

I also like the way it looks from the front, even if it does expose that I didn’t quite get the blocking balanced, and that bit up top where it looks like one side is stretched more than the other — was dead on right.
So. There you have it.
Daedelus. Originally designed by me for Just Our Yarns Aziza….
Yarn in this version: Jaggerspun Highland Heather 3/8 – ~ 1050 yards (I weighed it)
Beads in this version: ~ 1700 (I counted 1696) size 6 seed beads.
Pattern to be available as soon as I finish the various arguments with the word processor and the charting software so that they’ll talk to each other ….. and at a discount until the beta testers have finished their shawls.
Gorgeous!!! You must be so proud of yourself!!!
Very nice! A lot of beadwork there. Your hard work has paid off though. It’s really special.
Wow, just stunning. Let us know when the pattern’s ready, since I for one will be grabbing for um, whenever I finish the three shawls on the needles.
This is VERY nice. Could you please leave a comment on my blog when your pattern is available?
