Adamas shawl

I finished my Adamas shawl for the Ravelympics! It was in Jojoland Harmony cobweb yarn, and I did 17 repeats of chart 2 instead of the 14 in the pattern. Here’s a close-up of the finished edge, with blue beads.

And here’s my handsome helper who wanted to be in . . . → Read More: Adamas shawl Read more »

I’m on the home stretch on an afghan  for a friend of mine.  I had the 4 white strips done before seasons of lace and have completed the yellow and half of the green now.  I’m using Debbie Bliss cotton cashmere (furnished by my friend) and hate it!!  It’s got a wonderful feel, but it splits . . . → Read More: WIP Read more »

Catching up and Casting on

As usual, the photos will have to wait a day or two, but I am almost caught up with the BadCatDesigns summer sampler study, working on the edging now. Black Olives

This stole reminded me of black olives while I was designing it so that is what I ended up calling it.  It starts with a provisional cast on.  Once the main knitting is done the lace edging is knit sideways on the working end, then unzip the provisional cast on and knit the border on the . . . → Read More: Black Olives Read more »

More socks

I just can’t get away from the socks!  Mom saw the one I’m doing for me… and asked for some, so I put mine aside to knit hers while she is visiting.  She is diabetic and a dialysis patient so I want to make sure they fit her well.

I’m using the Ridged Feather pattern from Sensational . . . → Read More: More socks Read more »
