This summer has turned out to be a lot crazier than I had expected (and I know to expect crazy summers), but I am still hopeful I can finish something before the end of the season. I ended up frogging both my Montego Bay scarf and my Opera scarf, but I sat down last weekend and started both again. I am much happier with them this time around.
Then I decided to start 2 more scarves. The first is improvised from a stitch pattern called “Mini Horseshoe Lace” from The Knitter’s Bible. I am using a skein of fingering weight merino wool that I picked up at Rhinebeck last October.
And the second is the Japanese Waves scarf. I am using a skein of Dream in Color Smooshy in the colorway Deep Seaflower.
It’s hard to see the lace because I don’t have much done and the color is dark, but I promise it’s in there! All four scarves will be coming with me on vacation the week after next, when I will hopefully get great things accomplished!
