Swallowtail 2.0

I’ve started a second Swallowtail–I made one this spring, in fingering weight yarn, and decided I’d like to make one in lace weight.  I’m using Posh Yarn Sophia, which is a pure, lush, and wickedly delicious cashmere:

In a shocking pink.  There’s some slight variegation in the color, but I didn’t manage to pick it up with the camera.

I managed to get 9 repeats done–I started last night because I needed something relatively easy to knit while I was administering a mid-term.  (Of course, now I need to grade the midterms rather than knit, alas alack!)  I’m knitting it on US size 3 needles–I tend to knit loosely, so I’ve gone down a size.  I’m hoping that, between the smaller needles, and the plan to use beads rather than nupps, I can squeeze in an extra few repeats and make the shawl a little bit bigger.
