Finished up with the Sheep Shawl.  It’s really hard to see against the sheet that I use to cover my “blocking board” (little foam tiles that I put on the bed and then pin out the shawl).  I used Jagger Spun Maine Line lace weight.  The pattern says that this is 1250 yds.  Since I’m using a cone, I’ll say that’s how much I used.

The bottom pattern is supposed to be grass for the sheep!!  Too cute.  This is a Fiber Trends pattern.

I’m still plugging along on my mystery shawls.  I’m about 1/2 way thru clue 4 on my Anniversary Shawl and on Clue 3 for the MS9.  I’m hoping to finish the Anniversary Shawl this week, if all goes well!!

I ordered the yarn for my Lyra today.  Merino and Silk in a beautiful teal/turquoise color.  I can’t wait to get it in.  I’m getting 2500 yards so hopefully enough for the square shawl.  That’s going to be my project for the Ravelympics (and yes, I’m out of my mind!!). :P   They said to pick a challenge, so I picked a challenge!!

  • Your shawl looks fantastic! I’ve often admired that pattern. You will love knitting Lyra. It’s not a very large shawl depending on your needle size so you should have plenty of yarn. Look forward to seeing it!
