I traded washed mohair for some custom hand-dyed yarn for this project. The yarn is from Furryarns, the MaineBear SOX1. The yarn is light green, pink, blue, purple, yellow, orange…all the colors of a meadow in full bloom. It is a fingering weight yarn and I’m using size 7 needles. This is true knitted lace, my first big project with patterning on both right and wrong side rows, I’ve done a little bit on other projects, but this one it is the whole thing.
I finished Chart B for Mystic Waters and working on chart 8 on Vkandis. These are both slow going in solid colors and even though I love the way they are turning out, I needed something bright to work on with all the clouds and rain we are having. I have plans for at least 2 more lace shawls, when I get at least 2 of these off the needles and yarn for the one.
