or start-itis strikes again…
I’ve gone ahead & done it…My 3 wheels of Icelandic unspun have been calling to me since I bought it while at Meg Swansen’s EPS workshop in May. I just really needed to be doing something that would move along a bit faster than size 4 needles. So I started Meg’s mananita variation of a 12″ Niebling table centerpiece design, which, with large needles and the unspun ought to make a fair-sized lacy poncho. She mentions that her source had no name, but she calls it “Peacock”.
I haven’t given up on the Rose Lace Vest, though. I’ve got about 6 inches done below the underarm join, so it *is* moving along, just slowly….this one starts out flying…until you add 180 stitches in one round…but this unspun is lovely to work with! I’ve only had to spit splice it once, when I tried to pull it out from underneath the cat on my lap…
Knit On!
