I keep working on my Elm Row here and there, but I seem to have developed a severe case of startitis. I’ve started a lacey cardigan that I’m going to have to frog (my swatch lied – I’ll start over, after I’ve done some math – yes, I’m avoiding this), swatched for two stoles, and started another stole without swatching, so I’ve only myself to blame for needing to frog that one and go down a needle size. And I’ve started a shawl that’s actually making progress:
This is Bee Fields (Anne Hanson). I realized the other day that almost all of my finished lace projects are Anne’s designs, which effectively means I don’t have to swatch. I know just by looking at the pattern what needle size I need, which probably goes a long way toward explaining why this is the only recent successful start. I’ve had the kit since last August, but it kept getting put aside for other projects. First, I wanted to wait for the gloomy winter months when it would be a cheerful reminder of the coming spring, but it got set aside for a brighter shawl. After an accidental needle removal it was frogged. Then I restarted for all of 3 rows, but it got frogged to recover the needle for another project. Now at last it gets to take center stage…at least until the next swatch…

Very pretty! I do love Anne’s patterns, they are just lovely.
