The Saigon Scarf (and other knitting)

So I’ve been spinning a lot this year as one of my goals is to knit more lace projects with my own hand spun yarns. I purchased some beautiful Madder dyed BFL from “A Verb For Keeping Warm” and spun it with the Majacraft Rose using the lace flyer/fat core bobbin combination. I am using the yarn to knit a stole from a Japanese book “Vintage Knitting in Tradition” and the pattern is captioned “Cloches a travers les feuilles” which translates into “Your guess is as good as mine!” I’m using US 0 needles. Below you can see that I have finished The Saigon Scarf from badcatdesigns using hand spun lace weight yarn I made from fiber purchased from Spritely Goods. It came out pretty though my pictures don’t do it justice. I only have 4 more rows for my International Shawl and though it is not for competition or for raffle, I will post when done since the Seasons of Lace is keeping me on my goal of finishing

“Bells through the leaves,” I’d say. It’s lovely. You’ll be able to catch up on the Bad Cat Designs sampler in no time, I’d guess. Most of the patterns so far have been quite easy to work. Looking forward to the International Shawl.
Dear Vicki,
Thank you for the interpretation! I posted this on my blog and got several responses that are about the same. I’m always puzzled that so many of my Japanese books have captions that are in French. Of course, it is a romance language so I guess they find it more poetic:-) I’m enjoying working with my hand spun yarns and find it a challenge to pair up yarn with projects. Lots of fun!
Dear Sligo and Vicki,
Ooops! I got confused with the names above. Thank you Vicki for the translation of the caption. I have so many projects I want to knit that I may have to pass on the sampler and go straight to the “Mimosa” shawl. I just purchased it from badcatdesigns along with the Corfu and Hecate. I like her designs a lot and they work really well with hand spun yarn so It will be awhile before I consider doing the sampler. But I can always go look at yours
