I let myself be distracted by the baby today and messed up on my BadCatDesigns Sampler. I was able to reknit the one pattern repeat, four rows back, but when I got back and everything seemed just dandy, I realized I had reknit too far up on the chart. I’m curious–knowing that the mistake is not that huge or visible, would you redo those (now six) rows of the repeat again, or let it be because you don’t have time to be a perfectionist, and the next repeat will be perfect no matter what?
Maybe this is obvious, but I held the good stitches on the straight needles and a stitch holder and did the tinking and knitting with a circular needle. This made the fixing easier.
I’m so impressed with all the projects I’m seeing.

My family decided to go to the lake for the day so it was just me and the kittys. Since the only attention they required was a can of food for lunch, I had lots of quiet time to knit. I was able to finish the entire leg of sock #1! The pattern is a fun and fast knit.

I keep knitting and knitting on my Shetland triangle and the ball never gets any smaller. I keep thinking after the next repeat it will surely be finished, but it feels just the same. I have already done two and a half more repeats than called for in the entire pattern and I’m still on the first ball! These are not giant balls, just the regular size, so it is starting to freak me out a little.
I guess the watched pot never boils and the watched ball never shrinks.

Mark me down for first 500 yds! I finished the Strangled Vine Scarf and I am on the second repeat of a Luna Moth Shawl. I am waiting patiently for my Lisa Souza fingering and the July Mystery Shawl to start, so working on this in the meantime.

I finished my first Seasons of Lace project and I’m patiently (don’t really know the meanig of the word) waiting for it to dry.Â

Now I’m about to cast on for a lacy cardigan from CEY Summer Book 1. I’m using the suggested Classic Elite Sundance which is a nice squishy cotton/microfiber blend that will hopefully knit up quickly on size 7’s. It’s knit in one piece up to the underarms so I actually swatched… a step I often usually ignore.

Lastly, a question… I am desperately looking for the perfect pattern for a rectangular stole/shawl/scarf for 750 yards of deep red Dream in Color Baby that’s following me aound my house. I’d love some ideas! Thanks!

I finished clue 3 of the Goddess Knits Ann. Shawl this morning at 4:30 am!! I was determined!! I cast this on June 21 to go with this group and have been trying to stay caught up. I’m casting on the Mystic Meadows shawl today and hope to at least get the first part done, if life doesn’t decide otherwise. I’ve also got a pair of lace socks cast on as my “take along” project.

After finishing clue 2 of the shawl I cast on another pair of lace socks. I went to the yarn store today to pick up some yarn for my daughter and ending up buying a few skeins of Cascade Heritage for myself too! I bought a wonderful red and knew that it had to be knit up into what I’m calling Lady Bug Lace socks. ( The pattern is actually named Fly Away Home.) I have made it through the hemmed picot cuff on the first sock this evening. I’ll post a photo tomorrow when there is daylight to get an accurate picture of the color.

Today I finished up clue 2 of Renee’s anniversary shawl. I used chart A for both clues. CLue 3 was released today so I will soon start on it…just have to pick which chart to use.

Well, since I only have dial-up at home and go to the library to use their wi-fi, pictures can only be uploaded weekly. (The last time I tried to upload to Flickr from home, it took over 40 minutes for 1 picture. I’m not that patient!)Â
So, here goes. This week, I worked on the Goddess Knits Anniversary KAL. Finished Clue 1 and Clue 2 last Saturday.  I’m using US 5 needles and Morehouse Farm Merino Lace weight in White.

The other project I worked on this week is the Branching Out Scarf. I’m using US 3 and Misti Alpaca Lace weight in Forest Green color. Right now, it’s about 23 inches long, rough blocked. I’m aiming for around 72 inches, since it’s going to be a gift for my SIL, who is almost 6′ tall.Â

In case any of you don’t know, Knit picks released their fall yarns yesterday. There are some beautiful new colors and they have a new merino/alpaca fingering weight. Let’s just say I added a bit to my stash.
