Sad, sad, sad!
I had to FROG the shawl!!!!! I noticed (after 17 repeats!) that there was suspiciously little yarn left, and the size of the shawl was not something I liked, so, after thinking a bit and reading the instructions i noticed that the whole darn thing was made with smaller needles than called for !!!! I almost died! I thought long and hard while I drove to my weekend vacation, and decided to frog the thing and start again, because I wouldn´t have used it if it was too small. So….. I´ll start again,…. tomorrow. sigh….

ACK!! So sorry you had to unknit all that work
On the up side, your second attempt will probably go faster since you will be a bit familar with the pattern and you will be much happier with a usable finished shawl. Happy knitting vibes to you on this next shawl
