I completed a few more rounds on my mystery shawl last night. I finally decided to insert stitch markers around to help keep track of the stitch count. That helped tremendously! I wish I had thought of that earlier. I spent a fair amount of time using my crochet hook to catch a dropped stitch. Apparently I dropped the stitch and then replaced it somehow. So I weaved the stitch up through the loops and then I ended up having to tie it with the spare yarn I cut off when I closed up the middle. It’s not too terribly noticeable, but I really didn’t want to undo all that I had done. I’ve come to the understanding that there are going to be a couple mistakes here and there on this shawl. It’s my very first circular shawl. Besides, the mistakes are not going to be that noticable given that it’s lace.
I’m determined to finish clue 2 tonight, and take pictures to upload and post on the blog. Clue 3 comes out tomorrow. Also tomorrow I am going to swing by my LYS to pick up a second skein of zephyr silk/wool in Daffodil yellow. I bought one last Friday, and during the course of this week it informed me that it wants to be a mandala shawl like the one I am working on now. I’m not positive when I will start on it. Perhaps after I finish the first one. I anticipate the second one knitting up much easier than the first.
Pictures coming soon!
