I think I have become a bit of a Narcissus. Tonight, while madly typing up a report for work, I started at my Seascape shawl. Although I really wanted to knit it, my desire to stare at it was even stronger. I am just so dumbstruck as to how pretty it is knitting the up (the yarn color and pattern seem to fit so well). This has never happened to me before. Normally I am a product knitter. I don’t really appreciate the object until it is done and I or the recipient is wearing it. This lace project is a completely different story. I am really appreciating how all the stitches are coming together to make a pattern and tell a story. This sounds really corny, but just knitting these few rows is really making me appreciate lace knitting. Wow, that sounds really profound.
How is everyone enjoying their projects? Is this more of a “I got to get these ten lace presents out the door” or “Lace knitting is a neat but scary new experience for me” or “fill in the blank here” experience.
So where’s the pics???

We want to see too!!!
Put up a picture. This is sounding like it might be a good entry for best Lace Design/Yarn partnership….
For me…. I’d say this is a chance to enjoy knitting lace and sharing the fun.
For some, it looks like a good excuse to knit lace…
For some, it looks like a great support system to learn lace…
It’s like the weather — good for all sorts of things. (Even a rainstorm can be good…)(unless there have been far too many)
For me, lace knitting is more about process than product (although, I often love the finished product). When just the right yarn and pattern are paired, it is so fun to stop and stare at the project – more so with lace than other knitting, I think, because the lace looks different blocked than unblocked, so it is a constant temptation to pause and fingerblock the project to see a hint of the transformation.
