I cast on for a new pair of socks yesterday! They were originally supposed to be the Waving Lace socks, from IK’s Favorite Socks book, but I was having some . . . um . . . technical difficulties (okay, I forgot to actual read the chart and just did what I thought the pattern said, instead), and so have created variation on the pattern. Because I moved the yo’s, rather than leaving them more stationary, the fabric isn’t biasing the way it should. But I like it, so I’m going to stick with it, anyway.
Does “I screwed up but I”m too lazy to frog” count as “I designed it myself?”
eta: ha! I think I’ve managed to actually post a photo! yippee! (it’s the little things . . . )
I think it looks lovely and of course it counts as at least a “modification” of another pattern
And it’s not a mistake, it’s a “design element” as my sister used to say. Pretty yarn as well.
I love the yarn color, do you know the name and where you purchased?
Ditto on the color, and I don’t like yellow
.
Pattern looks great!
