Well, since I haven’t had a good history with KAL’s, I thought I’d at least try to start off on the right foot by posting this first weekend. I think I’ll be okay this time, though – I have a stack of lace projects and lace yarns just pleading to be knit. The winner for first cast-on though, is Anne Hanson’s latest, Elm Row:
I cast on last night, and have about 1-1/2 repeats finished already. I’m using a heavier yarn than called for (Knitting Notions Merino Supersock) so I cut out one of the repeats across. It’s terribly fun to knit, although I don’t have the pattern down yet. I need to finish it quickly though-I need the needle for my next Bee Fields shawl which I’m really itching to cast on for!

What a lovely pattern!
