When I wrote my welcome post a couple of days ago, I mentioned that the Liesel scarf was my first lace project. ShadowDancer wrote a comment and asked to see a picture. Well, here it is:
I used 2 skeins of Debbie Bliss Cotton Angora, which made a short scarf. If I made a second one, I would definitely use yarn with better yardage. Other than that, though, I love the scarf and I really enjoyed the pattern.
I’ve had a slight change of plan for my first project. One of my coworkers is leaving us for greener pastures on July 3rd, so I have decided to knit her a lace scarf as a going away present. I’m leaning toward the Montego Bay Scarf, if I can find the right yarn. Still can’t wait for this weekend to finally cast on!
