I’m confused about the categories. Maybe I should have been choosing only warm-up or joining up or uncategorized, before Saturday, and select the other categories after Saturday, when the KAL begins? If so, then I’m sorry if I’ve seemed overzealous. I guess I was thinking of the categories more as tags. I’m new to blogging and all this linking, connecting stuff. I hope you’ll understand.
I have completed three repeats on the Kimono Scarf, and tested all the pattern charts for the mystery shawl, now I just have to wait a few more days. . .I can’t really let any more repeats go on the scarf or it won’t qualify, likewise the sampler test scarf. Ho hum. . .er. . .make that Ho! Ho! Ho! I guess I’m going to finish another pair of Christmas stockings before this KAL begins.
Since these scarves can’t qualify for the quantity competitions, I’m going for the yardage competition. I don’t really think I have a chance at winning, but I do have three shawls and a pair of socks lined up, and I have four skeins of cashmere DK weight that is begging to be used up after all these years, so that may find a project too, before the season ends.
My daughter is going to music camp next week, which means a blissful three or four hours five days in a row when I can knit and listen to music, without my younger ones interrupting. I think I’ll get a good head start on the two mystery shawls. She also has orthodontic appointments six weeks in a row–more knitting opportunity.
well technically … yes. The categories are for when the real thing begins (except of course, the warm up).
And they’re for identifying the project (not just your status as a newbie knitter, for example) about which the post is written.
But that’s okay. We’ll work it out.
