As much as I’d like it to be true that Meg Swansen knows me… she doesn’t. Nor does Tami. So when I contacted them, I was, once again, seeking the kindness of strangers.
And once again…. I was rewarded. In addition to the book that I couldn’t help ordering for myself (making the decision about what to knit starting June 21 even harder), I received this in the mail yesterday:

A lovely tutorial DVD made by none other than Meg Swansen herself! (Although I’ve sworn not to pin any given prize to any given raffle or competition until far later in the game, I’m awfully tempted to declare this to be the prize for the Newbie Lace Knitter division. Gotta check with the other Mavens though).
I’m loving my mail!
My email doesn’t suck either. Reading my email reveals other things that will be coming in the mail for someone (whether or not they come here, to be stored in the Prize Vault until needed, they’ll be sent to some lucky prize winners at the appropriate time) include
A project bag that SoL Member/ Author Amy, sfknitty , will be making.
A gorgeeous hand dyed silk scarf from Jo Ann at Jdesigns.
An Amy Butler Madison Bag! that Beverly (PoMoGoLightly ) has agreed to make for one lucky winner.
Another project bag — Karen (crittergirl ) will be sending one from her LYS.
And Nancy (persistentknittr ) of The Knit Foundry is providing a 3-pack of highlighter tape (in multiple colors) plus one of her sock patterns. (I’m thinking this should go out as early as possible, as it will surely be used!)
And, this just in, Romi, of Designs by Romi will be sending us two of her yummy shawl pins!
The fun goes on and on!!! And, I’m sure you can guess… there’s MORE!
Three different folks are sending along stitch markers (and one is also sending a matching row counter). Check out Crimson Orchid and Woolly Seashell… and watch for RondaBen’s etsy shop (opening soon).
For my next review, we’ll likely talk patterns… but I may just start the round of yarns (you won’t believe the generosity!!!).
(are you enjoying the way I’m deftly avoiding posting about my own current lace knitting?)
